Case study overview
Auckland Airport
As a publicly listed company, one of AIAL's primary audiences is the investment community.
AIAL's ability to drive through the changes necessary to keep pace with market needs demands a high level of cooperation and understanding from both airport and external partners, all off whom need to be kept well-informed of AIAL's intentions.
Recent interim and annual reports in which Studio Alexander has been involved have sought to capture the personality of AIAL and project it to its readers.
The documents reflect a more rounded view of the company, more financial commentary and a greater level of analysis, more contextual storytelling and information around sustainability.
Studio Alexander's design and communications input has resulted in far greater consistency in design look and feel, tone and story. All publications look as though they are part of the same company - a family of professional publications.
The hosting in 2005 of the annual conference for the international organization representing airports - ACI (Airports Council International) - was also no small feat for AIAL and Studio Alexander.
This project involved the creation of advertising, banners, invitations, signage, sponsorship documents, email marketing and presentations.
'It was one of the most exciting and worthwhile events in the history of this company', says Don Huse, CEO of AIAL. 'Without the involvement of Studio Alexander, the quality would not have been the world class that it was'.
