Creating real value from corporate sponsorship.

In 2002 Genesis Energy signed a sponsorship deal with the NBR Opera.

Studio Alexander has been creating award-winning invitations for the Genesis NBR Opera Opening Nights in Auckland and Wellington, for the past 4 years. The invitations had to capture people's attention, communicate the opera's themes, enclose a gift for each invitee and most importantly, raise Genesis' profile as sponsors to the NBR Opera in a memorable and creative way.

The opera 'Faust' graced the stage in 2006 and the ensuing invitation was tactile, intriguing and played on Faust's themes of immortality and the quest for youth. The initially puzzling package resembled an up-market beauty product, entitled: '~Faust Immortal with Anti-Ageing'. Descriptions on and inside the package communicated Faust's underlying themes and closely resembled the language commonly used for beauty products.

The Genesis Opera invitations have been nominated as a finalist in the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Best Design Awards '~Visual Communications' category.
