Case study overview

Golf Bug Ltd

The brainchild of a pair of golf playing entrepreneurs, the golf bug responds to the needs of less active individuals who are looking to enhance their game.

To develop a chassis which is able to support the weight of the heaviest golfer, their clubs and two 12-volt batteries, yet able to dismantle into small enough parts to fit into the average car boot.

The system needed to be robust, light and intuitive to assemble.

The kart breaks into three major parts, with joining and adjustment mechanisms operated by the same simple action.

Once broken down, the batteries and components - along with a full set of golf clubs - fit into most mid-sized family cars.
