Hamilton International Airport Kiosk

Hamilton International Airport is the fourth busiest airport in New Zealand. The airport is increasingly seen as the gateway to the expanding Waikato and Central North Island region.

Substantial redevelopment in 2006 included a multi-million dollar terminal development, with a strong focus on improving traveller experience by speeding up passenger processing and baggage handling. As part of this initiative Hamilton Airport requested transactional kiosks for departure fee payment from Phosphor Essence. Domestic departure fee payment and a system for scanning and recording the tickets at the gate was added in early 2007. The system also provides bulk printing and in-depth reporting.

The kiosks can be placed anywhere there is a network connection, they require no attendant, and have been certified for EFTPOS/Debit Cards, Credit Cards and EMV Cards.

We kept the user interface really simple to keep it fast for travelers. There are four basic steps: Choose the type of fee, choose how many, swipe your card, take the printed ticket and your receipt.
