Case study overview

Navman 8120 award winning

Objective

The objective for this project was to create a flagship model to set the new direction for the next generation of Navman marine products. A multi-purpose Marine Navigation Console, the Navman 8120 integrates GPS, sonar, fuel management and video/radar functionality.

Solution

Formworks collaborated with Navman to incorporate the ease of use of the classic Navman interface into a sleek, low profile unit. To achieve this, a modern, reductive approach was taken when designing the unit. The Navman 8120 is designed to be either flush mounted into the helm or on an adjustable stand, and looks equally as purposeful in either configuration. The large 12' display allows an array of information to be displayed at once. Clean lines and restrained aesthetics mean the Navman 8120 will suit any marine setting.
