Case study overview

Orca

Remarkably, it took only eight years for Orca proprietor Scott Unsworth to move from selling wetsuits out of the back an aging Mazda to having over 60 percent of the world's best triathletes lined up at the Sydney Olympics sporting his wetsuits.

From a simple desire to build a great wetsuit, Scott's company - Orca - has bred an impressive array of competition garments that now feature strongly on the international stage.

To develop an innovative business strategy, brand architecture and advertising campaigns to firmly establish Orca as an internationally respected brand of elite performance sportswear.

A winning performance for a niche brand.

The strategic positioning, strong visual identity and promotional collateral produced by BRR has complemented Orca's race-bred apparel design and materials, enabling Orca to continue to make large business gains nationally and internationally.

As a New Zealand company leading the way, Orca has been on the receiving end of a number of New Zealand business awards.

Orca is an official apparel supplier to the New Zealand Olympic Team.

Sixty percent of all triathlon teams at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens wore Orca apparel " a clear preference by the world's elite athletes.
