Case study overview
Paris House
Paris House is an emerging brand focused on bringing art into everyday life.
Paris House objects are instilled with art and wit, provoking thought and pleasure with those who possess and interact with these unique design pieces.
Paris House approached tasmanstudios ltd to design leather wallets that would best carry the brand values of Paris House.
Instill in the product the Paris House values of quality, timelessness, tradition and uniqueness.
Create a product the quality of which competes at the top of the market with the likes of World, Karen Walker, Comme des Garcon, Dries van Nolten, Issey Miyake and other fashion heavy weights.
Package the product in a way that expresses the Paris House story and educates the owner on the values of the brand.
Tasmanstudios used its proven design process to generate elegant concepts for the wallet range.
Careful detail to stitching and seams ensures flat, uninterrupted surfaces.
The wallets are designed to be functional, presenting cards for easy access, having secured compartments and keeping content organised and tidy.
The back face of the wallet acts as a canvas to present the Paris House art work, bordered by double stitch lines.
Tasmanstudios produced production drawings and liaised with manufactures to ensure the integrity of the product was kept to the shop counter and beyond.
Paris House launched their first range of wallets in summer 2005.
The immediate response to the unique design and marketing was substantial retail orders throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Paris House wallets have received notable reviews in National and International fashion publications.
Tasmanstudios is now engaged in the second range of wallets.
To possess one of these art pieces give a sense of ownership and understanding of the wallets origin and traditions, creating a sense of knowledge and respect for the brand.
