Pitango Innovative Cuisine Packaging Makeover 


The existing Pitango brand (which pHd3 developed in 2000) was starting to lose its freshness in the face of increased competition. Lost ground needed to be regained and additional market share sought, both in NZ and offshore.

An aggressive visual approach was taken to reinvigorate the brand's presence at point of sale. New packaging was created using strong, colourful designs that gave Pitango an unmistakable voice.

The result was immediate on supermarket shelves, where Pitango instantly gained sales against their competitor's products.

Pitango are also the first fresh food manufacturer in the world to become carboNZero certified, creating a further opportunity for differentiation in both export and local markets.
