Case study overview

Q Theatre

The name Q, its identity & communications, was created for a major new arts initiative in Auckland city: the building of a special theatre & home for the performing arts. The name comes from Queen Street, the location of the new theatre, & performance-related words like cue and queue. The brand is designed to be inclusive, accessible and organic, with the brand logo acting as a keyhole into an exciting ever-changing world of drama & experience. It is also a speech bubble, communicating directly with its audience.
