Sealegs Swim Ladder award winning

The Sealegs Swim Ladder is an elegant and highly functional space saving solution for boarding a rigid inflatable boat. The ladder's gentle curves sit neatly on top of the inflated Hypalon tube and are fixed using rubber mount pads and a quick release bungee latch.

The configuration of the ladder components means that it holds itself in place when stowed and only requires a single latch point. It can be deployed from both inside and outside of the boat, and it has multiple latch configurations depending on the specific needs of the customer.

Without impacting on the highly mechanical Sealegs transom configuration, the ladder provides a very practical and modern solution for the Sealegs rigid inflatable boat and is superior in form and function when compared to existing tube mount ladder solutions.

When latched, the design nests neatly inside itself with minimal intrusion into the surrounding space, the 3 sections fit snugly around two handles which are used during the boarding process. Once the sections are unfolded, the ladder's curved design means that it sits proud of the tube, providing enough angle and depth allowing users to easily board the boat without losing footing or becoming lost underneath the boat itself. To achieve this, the ladder sections take advantage of the soft and bouncy properties of the inflated tube.

In keeping with the highly engineered quality components that Sealegs pride themselves on, the ladder is manufactured using stainless steel in a way to help minimize fabrication costs where possible. It uses minimal tube bend types and simple machined flat plate or bar for pivot and hinge points. The attachment process is also kept simple using basic mount jigs and standard fasteners.

The Sealegs Swim Ladder picked up a Bronze award at the Best Awards in the Product Non-Consumer category for 2010.
