Holdsworth Sustainable Design undertakes each project with the health and sustainability of the planet and project stakeholders as a priority.

Having an innovative idea is the easy part, developing a product that can be manufactured in a cost-effective manor and taking it to market is a greater challenge. Combining this with environmental and social sustainability is our core purpose. In some instances full life cycle analysis is appropriate, other times a more pragmatic approach is taken - flexibility is the key. The aim, always, is to create or re-work a design with a minimal ecological footprint. The greater goal is to add value to New Zealand exports - why export raw materials and, in some instances, import products made from those materials when we could add value to the materials before we send them overseas.
